CABroth Medium 2ml

Copan's LBM® CABroth is a selective enrichment broth specifically developed to enhance the recovery and detection of Candida auris, an emerging multidrug-resistant pathogen of significant clinical concern. Formulated using a modified Sabouraud medium, CABroth selectively enriches C. auris while inhibiting the growth of competing Candida species and commensal bacteria, helping laboratories improve detection accuracy and reduce the risk of false-negative results. Designed for use with clinical samples collected using Copan eSwab® or FLOQSwab®, CABroth provides reliable enrichment within just 48 hours at 35-40°C. Following incubation, enriched samples can be processed through traditional culture methods or molecular diagnostic workflows, offering laboratories flexibility in their preferred detection strategy. CABroth is supplied ready-to-use in prefilled 2 mL tubes, eliminating media preparation steps and supporting standardised laboratory workflows. The broth is CE-IVDR compliant and fully compatible with Copan WASP® and WASPLab® automation systems, enabling streamlined, high-throughput processing and enhanced laboratory efficiency. With room-temperature storage and a 9-month shelf life, CABroth delivers convenience, reliability and operational flexibility for modern microbiology laboratories.
