The Hiberix vaccine is a non-infectious immunization product designed to prevent invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). This vaccine is suitable for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years and is administered intramuscularly. It is supplied in two presentations a vial with a lyophilized antigen component and a vial or prefilled syringe of sterile saline diluent. The vaccine works by stimulating the body to produce antibodies against Hib, offering protection against serious illnesses such as brain inflammation and throat infections.
